Through the use of data flow charts and designing page layouts before approaching the screen the ability to construct sites, manage data, hierarchal structures and page layouts means that the transfer to screen becomes more efficient and potentially more constructed. Though a digital outcome the use of pen and paper plays a role in developing the author and the eventual user interactions
Fundamental to the creation of games is the user participation, interaction and the decisions they will in turn make that which will shape their digital experience. By understanding the nature of forking pathways it is possible to create a digital environment that accounts for user interaction and enriches the possibilities. Hypercomics used this idea to advance the nature of comics through the use of hypertext/html.
Over two sessions on Processing we developed the base skills in order to begin to understand the nature of processing which is a command input structure that allows for variable to interact with graphic input data which can be used to create graphics, record and display information and for general enjoyment. I first created a timed circle which would gradually grow, then by resetting the timing function and deleting the background was able to create a gradual graphic that showed the development of the shape over time and then used these skills to input a variable. We used music which would then respond to the mp3. to create a functional visualizer
To the left was a system devised by my group in a studio workshop which encouraged the users to input their own data into a templated interactive page. This highlighted to me the issues with trying to control interaction as what appeared to be simplistic to my group (the collaborative authors) actually presented challenges in understanding and users. Around are stills of other groups work and the way they chose to interact with them.
After first overlapping the data I then decided to spread it to increase readability, finding that some of the shapes tessellates I plan to explore to way the shape data can create patterns and potentially make a new image
